Created Faces — Carmine Santaniello

Employing the traditional method of cut and past paper, I create new faces out of amassed facial images. As I assemble these features, new faces evolve. Even though they are mixed matched images, they come together to become one personality. While incorporating elements of my own photographs of exterior environments such as graffiti or street art. These works have an erotic edge with a voyeuristic feel to them. Each subject is bound by or entrapped within a vale of marred imagery. The viewer is compelled to look deeper into the art through this process stimulating a salacious response.
